Help Identify brown algae/dino?

Been dealing with this brown stringy algae for about a month now, generally didn't bother me but now its starting to cover my corals and get worse.

Here are my specs so far
0 TDS on 2 different cheapo meters
0.03 phosphate on red sea test, 0 on salifert
0.05 nitrate on red sea, 0 on API (both nitrate/phos show 0 if I dont feed heavy that day)
PH 8.1-8.3
460 calcium
1400 Magnesium
9 dkh
Reefbreeder LED 12 hour cycle with max 55% blue, 25% whites

Run algae scrubber that is growing, tried hydrogen peroxide dosing, chemiclean, phosguard, 72 hour day blackout period. Run carbon/purigen. Only time it goes is when lights go out, not sure if its due to clean up crew going at it or cause of no lighting. But if anyone can help identify it so I could attack it properly, or has a solution would be much appreciated.

I tried a heavy chemiclea dose and it didn't work so I doubted cyano, and yeah I was worried it was Dino

I know this sounds crazy but try and raise your no3 a little. Very slow. I believe it worked for me.

Have heard that too. Once you get up above 3 the Dino has a hard time reproducing. Gotta get some cleaners that eat the stuff too, and clean up their waste and dead Dino. Once dead and gone you may have to deal with other algae but those others much more doable

If it is Dino - you could try this product , I used it and it helped my case

I read that thread about increasing nitrates too, just seems like it would be a pain to control and maintain it at that level.

I'm gonna try peroxide again with a fresh bottle since the one I had was over a year old and then try higher nitrates and eventually dinox....just so many mixed reviews on it buts gonna be my last resort

also make sure the area gets good flow. I get this a lot in my dead zones.

I had the same problem ,3 days of blackout is the solution my coral look good ,all bad algae is gone I'll recommend

Just to update.....I don't think flow was the problem, have a gyre and the sand was being blasted the area they were growing. I did a 4 day blackout with a black tarp, along with a fresh bottle of peroxide at 2.5ml/10g and it seems to have done the trick. My ats growth really multiplied and it's been 3 days, sand is still pure white.

There are some tiny spots regrowing here and there on the tips of high flow areas but it's literally less than 1% of what it looked like before. If it starts coming back im assuming another blackout or two will do the trick. Dinox will be my last resort if anything

Do a search on reef central. There's a thread there of over 100 pages. Good info.

Usually high flow makes it worst. And sandbed needs to be removed. Dino loves sand.
