ok i didnt and couldnt get a picture. only seen at night time. it looks like a centipede and is about 3" long seen it come out of a hole and disapear into another hole. any thoughts to what it might be or if it is good or bad.

Bristle worm, Fine just don't touch it those bristles will irritate/sting your finger.

Most are good for the tank. THey scavenge. However soem are said to be more predatory and can cause soem good pain if they sting you.

Wear gloves and don't worry about it you should be fine.

There are more "centipede" looking worms in our tanks than just bristle worms. Eunicid worms are not out of the realm of possibility and a juvenile mantis can look like a worm when they are small and you don't know what you are looking at. I also know a guy that lost his son to zoanthids. His son was banging on the tank and they swarmed him. They finished him in a matter of seconds, there was nothing left not even shoe laces.....the Dr.s said gloves would have saved his life.
