There's no such thing as 100% reef safe angel. It's a hit or miss. They can be a model fish for years then all of a sudden develop a taste for your corals.

That being said, I would like to get a dwarf angel for my 75 gallon, possibly even two. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a flame angel, bicolor angel, coral beauty, lemon peel. My tank is full of corals: soft, lps, sps. If I happen to be unlucky and the angel I choose has a taste for corals, they'll have to find a new home.

What have your experiences been with these types of angels? Are any of them more prone to nip at corals than others? Are there other types of somewhat-reef safe angels suited for a 75G?

Current livestock is foxface, copperband butterfly, bartlett anthias, 2 clowns.

Thanks

I have wantanabi angels amd they haven't looked at any of my corals. I am in the market for a pair of bellus angels that I would like to try and see. I had a flame angel who I never noticed nipping at anything. I've also seen a ton of coral beauty's in others reef tanks. No experience with coral beauty's in my tank

Had a Potter angel fish over 3 years never touched my SPS tank only. . Now I have swallow mask angel.

I love the look of the Potter angel, I hadn't thought about it. Did you have any anemones in the tank? I'm reading it can bother them as well.

Flame Angel is one of my favorites, will likely end up getting one but can add another angel.
