copperband butterflys ?

Wow, after 20 minutes of 'research' and 1 reply, you've decided to try a very questionable (reef safe, and long term survival) fish? Good luck, to you and the fish!
You would be surprised how many people get copperbands that live and pick at their coral and clams.
I personally have tried multiple copperbands and most of them eat and them die out of no where.(none picked at my coral or clams)
I have one right now that I have had for months and he ate all my aptasia and feather dusters but leaves everything else alone. He only eats meaty food. No flakes or pellets.
It is an extremely hard fish to keep, I find leaving the lights off with just a few blue LEDS on helps fish acclimate to your tank with out being harassed by other fish.

I have had many of them and except for tubeworms I have had no problems with them bothering anything else, I have also dove with them and also never saw them bite corals. They are made to eat worms and that is what they should be fed.

ive had them eating frozen and worms and still died out of no where after a month or more
thye guy at the lfs showed me it was eating :splitspin

doesnt mean anything, once it starts on the aptasia it might not go back to reg foods
i guess we will see my yellow tang is not happy with him right now
I had the same problem... I did paste couple of YT pics around the tank and did solve the problem
yep i only qt corals not fish
