Very easily done.
Drill the overflow, set up the return.
Have Jeff @ Custom King build you a custom sump/fuge to your design. Piece of cake.

Russ

thats a good idea i guess ill be talking to Jeff very shortly.

Why not just ask your rep when he comes into the store?

ask my rep? as in the guy that goes to my moms store to sell her stuff? yeah....right....they barely sell the biocubes let alone something like that. i had to order the protein skimmer and UV online because they dont even have THAT in stock. there no help nor know anything when it comes to salt.

Wow I never even really thought of doing this. When I eventually upgrade to a larger tank it looks like i'm going to have to drill the BC29 for a custom sump. You could even put a larger better skimmer in there and phosban/calcium reactors.

Custom Sump For Bio Cube?

Hello All,

Since my Buddy Russ called me out :biglaugh: Just joking. I'd thought I'd post some photos of my custom sump for a Bio Cube stand. The sump has a filter sock intake, skimmer section, refugium area and return pump compartment. There are also a series of baffles after the skimmer section to remove any micro bubbles that may be produced by your skimmer. The return pump compartment will easily house a Mag Drive pump. I've also made the skimmer section to house a Tunze skimmer. Most of the smaller sumps I've seen at this size usually use the Tunze nano 9002 but I made the skimmer section a little bigger and I choose to use a Tunze 9005. Here are the photos.

Thanks :fish:

now if there was a sump capible of fitting the skimmer in it then....:wink1:

Well, my cousin is going to venture into the world of saltwater after all and take me up on the 29G cube- he already has Russ' number on speed dial LOL- Ordered the sump from Jeff today hes going to design a change or 2 we discussed and in a few months it will go to PA drilled and plumbed and ready for use. He has a 5 year old son who loves of course NEMOS!!!!! So in the next 5 months he should be posting pics hopefully of a ready to be stocked already cycled 29G biocube with a CK sump! WOOHOO!!

Good talking to you today Jeff.
