I hate bumping this thread, but the phone was only 2 weeks old. And aside from this situation I really enjoyed the swap.

Ah man..Losing a phone is the absolute fking WORST. Unfortunatly not everyone is an honest person and someone obviously stole it. I'd hate to sound negative but I think realistically you should call your insurance company pay the 50 bucks and forget about it, new phone in 2-3 days. lol Think about it..if someone was going to turn it in I would assume they would have done so at the swap not stick it in their pocket and leave with it. Sorry Gonz..my advice to you is get some sort of belt atachment to prevent it from happening in the future. They sell them on practically every street corner in the city so you should have no problem finding one..Its really the best thing you can buy. I got this leather one it hooks onto my belt/pants and it closes magnetically. Probably one of the best things in the world you can buy for 5 bucks.

Did you have security software on it like smartguard? You can track the phone and remote wipe it if you did.

Thanks all. Ironcially I am in the Wireless industry and replacing it and wiping it isn't a problem. It was my fault for setting down on the table during the raffle. So it wasn't a belt clip issue. It's just a huge inconvience of having to do bunch of paperwork, being without it for a while, and getting grief from my boss. I was just hoping that since multiple people saw it and it was talked about that maybe whomever picked it up intended to return it to its owner. If not, so be it.

Did you put a message through your BES server or however you can do that? In my old job, we'd put a reward message on there but of course no one would ever return it and instead they'd run up the bill making shady calls to whoever.

Well I wasn't saying it was a beltclip issue just saying it makes life easier to have one..so instead of putting it down somewhere you just stick it back on your clip. People really suck..stealing a phone is like the Sh*ttiest thing you can do. A phone is like your lifeline..most of the time you don't even realize it but once you have no phone you just feel like a part of you is missing. Hopefully you can find the person and do 1 of these. LOL :smash:

You're right. The problem with a belt clip is it doesn't work when you don't use it. Turns out my punishment for losing the phone from my boss it that I have to go back to using the Storm, instead of the Storm 2. Oh well.
