does anyone ever have the urge to downgrade their tank? am i just weird. it seems i am never happy, and have been thinking a lot lately about selling my 65 and setting up a 15 gallon designer and a regular 10 gallon tank. i dunno if i will. my husband says i shouldn't cuz next time i will want a 100 gallon lol. but i think i need something smaller. i dunno. so does anyone else feel this way? be on the lookout soon for rock, tank, and stand. oh and if i do sell, ronen has first dibs on my tek light.

so i wonder, could i really be happier with a smaller tank? oh gosh i think i am weird. why would i think this way? and psychiatrists out there?

I had planned on having 2 tanks, my 55 (FO) & I purchased a 46 BF, for a reef a few months ago.
I decided to get rid of the 55 & transfered everything to my 46......so I pretty much down-graded.

I'm pleased with it.

well, i am talking about downgrading from a 65 to a 15 lol. the 10 will basically be for a qt tank. i think i am nuts :D my biggest problem is if i find a large coral that i want. where would i put it lol. now i have downgraded from a 36bow to a 29 before, but never this much of a downgrade. i guess i need to come up with some prices :D

15????:bigeyes2::wow:

Would you be happy with that?
Starting off with that would be cool, but since you already have had bigger tanks......I think you'll come back to the dark-side very soon...lol

lol might. but honestly i think that i would be happy with the 15 if it is done right and i could control myself and not mess with it :D

i would also set up a 10 gallon since i am holding some of ricky's stuff in case i don't have room in the 15 for it. i have some very nice rock that would be amazing in a small tank. i guess i will be talking to my husband later :D

on days like today when I'm cleaning the tank ALL day I think I would have been happy with a small cube, like a 20 or something.

then again I think if I owned a home like frogman I would build what he is building, 450.

but I don't think your weird. maybe I'll sell it all and just get a nano cube :)

ok so at least i am not the only one. sometimes i think people lik us (reefers in general) are never happy. i think i would like a small system with some nice colorful rare stuff in it. well, gene will be home in about an hour. i think i am going to go through with this after all. let me talk to him and see what he says and maybe i will start up the 15 gallon tonight.

good luck with what ever you decide. i geuss you won't know if your really going to be happy until you try it so really think about it before you make the move. but if you decide to do it. i'll also be on line for some live rock and that purple bonsai from the frag swap :eek:

i sold my 90 a while ago b/c of school and trying to get a job lined up b4 i graduate. but i went from a 90 to nothing. i'm having some serious withdrawl problems. i've always wanted a nice little nano that wouldn't take up too much time or work. just have to be a little more vigilant about parameters and stuff i guess. i was looking at the 24g nano cube, but the 12 would actually be a really really nice size. not big at all, but big enough to house some really cool corals. plus i'm thinking about keeping some more delicate shrimp and maybe a seahorse or two? but gotta research all that. good luck on your decision. if you sell, i'll probably be interested in some rock.
