I know Dean, I do my best not to pop them, but I would rather get them out and pop a few (okay a lot) than leave them in.

my new game plan was to add a LOT of snails and some more emeralds. my idea is to clear the rocks of the bubble algae, and let the clean up crew do it's job. maybe if I can get ahead of the bubbles the snails and crabs can hold them at bay.

Hale i still have that small urchin if u want to try it out...a good test would be to put the urchin or emerald in a container with some bubble algae and see if it will get to work on it...let me know i can give you an emerald crab too i have two of them..

Jon, I have a pair of the tissue-type forceps - though, they are even narrower and more curved. They came out of my old fetal pig dissection kit from college. If you want, you can borrow them. I find that I can lift the bubble algae out quite easily without popping them. You just have to orient the forceps just right. Like I said though - mine are a little thinner and more curved that the ones in the picture because they were made for something smaller than a human body. The human dissector forceps are a little different. LMK! I just de-bubbled my tank, so I'm good for a while.

My opinion: go with the splinter type tweezers. Because they are so narrow, they allow you to grab the bubble at the base. I use my wife $60 tweezers:shhh:. Check a beauty supply store.

steven I need the longer ones to reach the spots the short ones can't get to.

I can't tell you how many frags I've made trying to get bubble algae out of my tank :(

You mean the urchin right not the crab.
