HI all,
So went to turn on my lights for Lyle, my lobster this morning and found that I've likely got a blown ballast on my 24" Corallife. Tried another bulb with no luck. Due to severe financial strain at the moment, we won't be able to get a new ballast for about 1or 2 weeks.
The question I have is - Will my reef lobster do ok in the interim with only natural lighting from a window? Normally the window is closed and his lighting is provided by 10-12 hours from the Corallife. The bulb I run is a 7500k from Hellolights that is actually a nice blue tone - good for octupus, etc. (was one of their Frankenbulbs and got a bunch for $5 each)
He's in a 10gal tank with about 10-15lbs of live rock. Running a Prizm skimmer mainly for water movement/aeration.
Thanks in advance for you answers!!
