inland reef is what many are pointed to when talking about mirical mud or many ofther products. but as any one who took 5th grade scuence knows that they have terriable practices. no controll or anything. as well as they test mirical mud after washing it 4 times. ( big nono )
they even admit to not topping off water one there ecoaqualizer test . what is this. remember . there out of bussiness for a reason.





so remember just cause it looks scientific dosnt mean it is.
QUESTION EVERYTHING AND DO NOT TRUST SITES that sell any products that they are praising or link to sites that directly link to a product on another site ,.

haha leave me alone. all my english teachers spoke and wrote in ebonics ( proper term? ) at least my science teachers actualy had brains.
plus remember that science is consistant no matter who or where you are. while writting differs from place to place. i find my bad spelling and typeing much more acceptiable them bad science

I just looked at the IR MM test (http://www.inlandreef.com/Testing/MManalysis.html), and you are only telling part of the story.

They did two different tests on the MM, and one rinsed the sample 3 times, and the other didn't rinse the sample. The most conclusive element, silicon, came out pretty close, relatively, in the two tests.

I am not sure about the need for a control (especially on their limited budget) in the EA testing because they took reading from the same tank with and without the EA.

They didn't look for a problem. The ran a tank with the EA and without it and recorded the ORP results.

Matt went out of the fish hobby because he wasn't interested anymore.
You're way off base here.
I've met and talked with Matt and Tom many times. They're both really smart guys. They wanted to debunk snake oil products in the hobby. They didn't try and sell anyone another lame product in place of those they tried to expose as snake oil. These guys were all about arming the hobbyist with knowledge and letting the hobbyist decide what to buy.
Many a reefer in the New England area misses Inland Reef and wishes Matt never left the industry.
