Looking at plumbing my new 90g addition with SQWDS on a closed loop. The search didn't turn up a whole lot. So, how are these holding up so far? Anyone having problems with jams or leaks? What type of flow restrictions are you seeing?

These have been on the market for about a year now so I know they are fairly new. Anyone just totally love or hate theirs?

I'm planning on all plumbing being 1" except for the SQWD of course. Does anyone see anything inherently wrong with doing this?

I'm really happy with my SCWDs. On my 50 gallon, I running two off a 1.5" manifold from a Quiet One. Despite the inherent flow reduction from the devices, I'm seeing good flow 18-20" from each output. I'm not using any prefilter in the sump or on the pump, and nothing has gotten jammed up yet. They're completely silent and have required no maintainence yet.
I think you'll be good with 1" up the the SCWDs.

I am running two (one on a mag 7 and onother on a mag 9) for a while now and love them. I would not use them as my main circulation. But as supplimentry circulation they rock!

How do they connect?

It looks like flexible hose and clamps.

I would love to use one but am affraid of hose clamps.

Hose clamps should not pose any problems as the input/output of the SCWD is barbed. The hose clamp is tightened behind these barbs so there's no way they're easily coming off. :)

I would like to see photos of SQWD plumbing/connections/in use.

I am using a Mag 1800 but I have it plumbed through alot of pipe to tone it down a bit. I am wondering if it's too much pressure for a SQWD. How could I find out?
