My LFS has a Banded Shark egg for sale and I think it would be cool to whatch him hatch and all but I don't have a clue if they are ok for a reef or not??

The Salesman says no problem but I think he told the next guy in line the same thing when he asked about putting a trigger in with a seahorse.

Umm, lets see, seahorse slow, trigger..name says it all. Seahorse fragile shy little creature, Trigger..TEETH...umm ok I want 2

If your tank is over 1000 gallons and the rock is limited and glued together, go for it. Otherwise, what Mary said.

I'll stop the question here in my opinion.

I didn't figure this would be a "no problem"

I told the guy my reefs a 55 g but he still says "sure. just trade him in in like 4 years when he gets to big dude"

Shheshh... Seems like a national chain would hire someone to handle their systems that had a clue.

I wonder why they (LF'S) NEVER seem to hire a knowledgable staff. Seems business would be better for them if they did.

of course that may require a pay rate higher than minimum so...

I'd rather see a shark egg sold for 30 bucks by a complete moron and do the research myself than pay a couple hundred if he was an astrophysicist who knew what he was doing. I'd worry more about the egg actually hatching. And if it does, they arent easy to feed.
