I've got my semi-cured rock in now and will leave the system running for a few weeks whilst the tank cycles. I've got the rock mostly propped up on pvc pipe and eggcrate so that when i put sand in it will not leave
too many deadspots and hopefully make cleaning easier.

I plan on putting about 60lbs of sand in (looking for 48x15x1.5-2 inches depth)
The aragonite for sale in my lfs seems quite expensive for a smallish bag (can't remember price or weight, sorry!) and i was wondering if there are any decent commercially avaliable sands in the UK that are reef safe? If so, what? Otherwise, are there any good mail order places?
Finally, and most importantly, does anyone know where i can get some good live sand to seed my bed from? I know the live rock critters will make it into the sand
but I'm looking for more variety in my bed than live rock hitch-hikers. I live in Surrey if that helps?!

many thanks in advance
