Hello everybody. After a brief hiatus I'm ready to begin reefing again. I had a tiny 20 gallon reef that I needed to dismantle due to a move in which I kept euphyllia (torch hammer frogspawn) for the most part. Because of space and budget, I'm going to be limiting myself to a spare 29 gallon (the dream aquarium will have to wait for a larger, stronger floored house). Here's what I have in mind and tell me what you think:

29gallon tank with Lifereef siphon overflow
one 250watt 10000k HQI Aquastar lighting system
two CPR Bakpak skimmers from previous tank
CPR refugium
dosing pump or Nurce
10 or 20 gallon sump

any suggestions?

You could probably forgo the CPR refugium by using your sump into a fuge. IMO one Bak Pak would be fine. Two of them would run up your electric bill, may overskim your tank, or shut each other down.

I agree with hectina. Get the bigger sump and make a large portion of it a refugium. Also just use 1 skimmer. Use the KISS method.
