Gonna order me the 12" one for my pentagon. I'm planning on putting 3" or so (or however tall the baffle is) of LS a few rubble rocks and some macro algae.

Anyone have one? What did you put in it, what did you light it with, and any problems?

TIA!!!

Hey Monkey,
I have not used one yet, but have considered getting one for my 54 bow. Lights of America makes nice little power compact setups that you can grab at Home Depot for 30 bucks using the energy star $10 instant rebate. In fact I grabbed one to try and start a 2 gallon Nano.
On another note: I have most of my propagation setup running. This includes the 100 and 75 gallon I grabbed from you guys as well as a 50 gallon refugium/lagoon. Check out some of the pics on my site.

Here's a crappy side view of mine after I harvested the macro algae. I have a 3-4' sand bed, few LR, and detrivore kit in it. Bought a 55 watt Bright kit with 5300K PC from AH Supply. They have DIY plans at the site. Added an extra microjet PH to increase circulation as I had a small outbreak of cyano.

I got the 18" model. Awesome!!! What a deal. Check out marinedepot.com.

For the lighting, it gets light from the halides, but I also have a dual mini light from coralife (7" compacts).

Nope, not an overflow.

Thanks for the replies guys, Scav nice tanks! You breathed life into that 100l and it looks great. I'm breaking down my 2.5g nano because i don't take care of it like i should so i will be putting the coralife mini-might (2x9w pc's) over it. Thanks!

Is the concept similar to a cpr skimmer, Water is take in by a rio, flows through the chamber and back out? What would be a good size for a 50gal? Any one have a good picture of it out of the box but not on a tank?
