Basement drop skimmer

Anyone have any thoughts on a basement drop skimmer for lack of a better term. It uses the air from the overflows and the force of droping water 8-10 feet to skim. A RC'er had a diagram a few weeks back that I will base my design on.I know it will work somewhat because I get skimming from my pipes now with just some tee's. WW

I saw the same thead that you did then and the concept definitely looked feasible. I'd definitely try it if I were you. FWIW, water dropping 8 to 10 vertical feet should produce somewhere near 3.5 to 4.4 PSI water pressure going thru that skimmer which is a fair amount due only to gravity.
