I purchased a 175 watt 5500K MH retrofit kit from ALS over a year ago. It was the cheapest kit I could find at the time. $154 delivered. It came with the Venture bulb, reflector, cord, socket, ballast, and instructions. I generally like it, BUT the wiring instructions weren't great, they gave me a thin lamp cord, and the ballast isn't enclosed. I beefed up the cords and enclosed the monster ballast in an old fuse box. So if you're good at DIY it's fine. I believe the kits from Champion Lighing come with an enclosed ballast.
