Need workaround to replace Hegan plastic impeller vain part

Hegan makes it just as expensive to replace my 802s than repair or replace the impeller. Do you know any workarounds ?

You can buy the plastic piece separately. I think the price is about $1.50 for a bag of three. I have Hagen 802's in continuous use for 5 years, I've NEVER had one fail. The plastic impellers need to be replaced (IME) about once a year or so. You can get the impellers directly from Hagen. Call That Fish Place for Hagen's 800 number.
