How big of a RIO pump do any of you recommend with an ETSS reef devil skimmer. I know you all hate rio's so lets not make this a dump the rio thread. Just what size you might recommend...2100,2500. Thanks!
Without saying the R word, do your system a favour and get a safer pump. I don't know anyone that would recommend a rio.
I'm not familiar with reefdevil, so I can't recommend what to get, just don't get a rio. (oops)
There are several models and versions of the Reef Devil skimmer and several different pumps may be recommeneded.
What model of the RD do you have?
I personally use a RIO 3100 on my Reef Devil 2 which is an older model. I have yet to have any trouble with my three-year-old Rio and am well aware of the "bad reputation" and "horror stories" about this pump.
I would choose a Mag Drive if I had to do it over.
However I choose to live on the edge(perhaps) and hope this pump will not fail.
