I will be running an AMP master 3000 off my sump and I know that it has a 1.5" inlet my question is what size hole do I drill in my glass sump for the bulkhead. Do I drill a 1.5", 1.75", or 2"?? Also high high off the bottom of the sump should the hole be drilled??

The best way to do it is to buy your bulkhead and then measure the diameter of the piece that goes through the hole. That's what I did when I set up my new system. I wouldn't drill it until you have the 1 1/2" bulkhead in hand. Otherwise you might end up drilling it twice to get it right!

Fmx, my hole for my Amp master is drilled 3 1/2" from the floor to the center of the hole. Sorry I can't remember exactly what size hole (I think 2 1/4") but at least this will keep this at the top.

It will depend on the bulkhead. An average 1.5" bulkhead needs a 2 3/8" - 2 1/2" hole but it can vary depending on the bulkhead so you really need to get that first. I have seen some that require 2 5/8" hole which would probably be too big for a smalled bulkhead
