Why does something always have to screw up? I've setup a 45 high fowlr....its cycled.....home to a baby snowflake that hopped out the first night.....took care of that.....everythings peachy....admiring my handy work and efforts of the last few weeks....when I notice a shimmering pool of water smiling up at me from the lip that juts out from the front of the stand....got a damn leak from the bottom of the tank, and it's not on an open top stand....and I live in upstairs apartment so I cant just let it go.....anyone have any suggestions short of tearing it down?....a month ago my beautiful reef gets electrocuted.....now this....this really frosts my pumpkins......

When I first set up my 70 gallon, glass. I saw a pool of water accumulating around the bottom of the tank. It turned out to be a leaky seal between the trim un the top of the tank. One quick seal. Hopefully it may be that.
If its not that. Unfortunatly you have to tear it down. Get a 55 gallon RM trashcan, new and clean. House you LR and sand in there while you have this repaired. Unfortunatly leaks never get better. A pool now. Flood later.

Good luck. Hope everything works out.

Did you recently have a rock slide? Or, did you recently added more sand/LR? The added weight could have triggered it.

now I'm just completely confused, my tank is 36" long, the stand is 30" I have 2 36" planks under the tank, 1" thick by 4" wide.
The tank was leaking from the front and sides it seemed, though I had a hung a nylon sack of carbon over the back side of the tank, the sack was wet from rinsing, knew it would drip a bit down the back, what puzzles me is....the water was coming out from on top of the planks....under the tank on the front, theres a gap between the planks, Its dry has been even after i discovered the water,I removed the carbon sack,no more leak it seems, only guess is it travelled down the back.....seeped under the tank.....craweld across the tank.....and settled on the front, anyone have a similar expierence?.....I'm not counting out a leak just yet, but it looks good so far, hope its not a damn leak

the carbon sack was probably acting like a wick.. the water runs down the back and (I assume your tank has a plastic trim on the bottom) into the trim.. from here it would just follow the tilt of the tank. I have had a similar experience with water/salt creep going down the back left side of my tank, but looking like it is coming from the front right corner. I thought it was a seal at first too.. Hope this is it.
