A while back someone said that a fish store in the San Fernando Valley, CA, Canoga Park I think, sold tank raised queen conchs. Does anybody know the name of the store? Or do you know where to purchase one in the LA/Orange County area. I don't want to purchase on-line and pay those BIG shipping charges. TIA

Hey VP.

I couldn't find any in my area either. I look at the surrounding areas as well, no
luck. I'm in Sacramento...

I ended up ordering 4 from Premium Aquatics.
I also ordered 50 nas snails. The Conch's
are doing fine. Active critters.

I think the price was about 6 bucks per conch. All arrived alive. My only grip with
the order was the nass snails are sooo
small

Little babbies - but they seem
to be doing fine.

Check out www.premiumaquatics.com - if jason
has any, it will be on the live stock list.

Hope this helps. Have a good day.

Someone on the MASLAC mailing list was searching for some queen conchs a couple weeks ago and wasn't able to find any in the Los Angeles area. He ended up getting them from Premium Aquatics. They are $6 each.

However, etropicals.com are having them on sale at $2.25 each. The regular price is $3.00. And, they get them from the same source, ORA.

You can split the shipping costs if you pool an order with LA area reefers. I might be interested.
