OK, I got a Bubble Coral - All the bubbles clammed up the first day, then opened and looked great, with nice bubbles close to each other, looking happy. Last night, I saw the loads of short sweepers - very cool. Now today, he is kind of stretched - space between bubbles. And, there is a gap that looks kind of like an anemone's mouth down the middle. Is he splitting? Dying ? Help!!

Your bubble coral is just getting used to its new environment by expanding (drawing in ambient tank water) its tissues - good sign.

The "gap / split" you are seeing is the corals - mouth / orafice. You can feed this coral some meaty foods once a week or so.

Sounds like it is a heathly bubble coral.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations!
My first coral was a bouble (about 1Y).Still doing great,no matter where I put it in the tank, but the best feels at medium light and current.
It catches meaty food at feeding time.
