Clam Novice Requests Confirmation

Hi,

I adopted my fist ever clam exactly one month ago. This morning I noticed large white flukes growing. I assume this is a good thing, but I'd like to know from an expert before assuming.

What has me wondering is the color. The rest of the clam has no white on it at all. Also these flukes are at least 5X larger than the rest of them. TIA
