i just orded lighting from ah supply. i ordered the 36 watt 6400 and the 03 actnic for my refugium. is the actnic bulb a good or bad idea for the refugium. should i just go with all white lights.
I don't think it would be a problem, but i would go with a smartlamp. If they made it. It features both actinic and daylight in one bulb (just in case). I believe that actinic is utilized mostly by zooanthelle, and not by macroalgae. Unless you are growing coral in or clams in your 'fuge, the actinic is unneccesary.
