Hey,

My 75g tank is doing very well....corraline crusting everything and all inhabitants happy.....a week ago, one of my feather dusters blew his crown...I don't think he's dead, because I still see movement when someone gets to close to his tube. But today, my other duster right next to him had his crown floating around........any ideas.....is this a periodic thing....but it's pretty stange that they both went within 7 days..

As I said, parameters and other inverts are fine
Thanks

Pat

Hey,
Could something in your system be picking on the Dusters? I believe this to be a sign of stress of some sort. At any rate they will grow back if they are healthy

They reproduce.
I've just read this,I've never experienced.
One releases the eggs, the other the sperm and after, they lose the feathers to avoid eating their own small ones.
The adults will regrow the feathers.
Wish mines would do that.
