Hello Again,

I am still trying to figure out weather or not to buy another tank...BUT if I do, it will definatly have MH lighting. I have been leaning toward the 12,000 retro kit at Aquatic Lighting. But after reading some posts recently, I am second guessing that. What would be the best retro kit to buy, and from where ????

I am looking fo either a 175 or 250 ( leaning toward 250 ). It is a 48 gallon corner tank. I am looking at retro kits due to living in the great white north, and a crappy exchange rate.

Some advise on where and what kind would be great !

Thanks
Barry

I run 250w 10K HQI bulbs made by BLV (a German manufacturer). The same bulb is also sold under various "aquarium" and "non-aquarium" brandnames.

Manufacturer's site is: "www.blv-licht.de". The 10K bulbs are under "special lamps".

These bulbs are perfect in my opinion. Lovely color (quite white), plenty of light, consistent color between bulbs, and very modestly priced (equivalent of $48US - bought in New Zealand too - so no doubt cheaper in the US).
