48” aquatic life fixture question

Does anyone have the 48” aquatic life t5 hybrid fixture? Can you tell me exactly how wide it is? Trying to determine if I can do two end to end over a 96.5” tank.

I’m very disappointed in this company I know everyone uses them but they are not very customer friendly

Why r u disappointed? I have a 60” fixture and love it in conjunction with radions. My only issue is the cords should both be on one side but because they’re the exact same fixture just one is reversed the cords are on opposite sides.

Well for one of your lights are held in by these clips good luck and are soo dangerous! I broke my bulbs over my tank and sliced my thumb open. Be sure the coating on it melts to the bulbs. Called the company and the only thing they did was say sorry and send me THREE clips when there are 8 total clips on those lights.

Yes the original clips suck and melt to the bulbs. They sent me replacement all metal clips and I had no issues with bulb replacement after that.

Yea they didn’t even send me the right amount of clips never mind any type of sympathy or compensation

I was wondering if yours had cords on both sides or not. My question was answered in a video I watched a few hours ago, it seems they switched it to a single cord now.

Not that it matters in your case, as I assume it's going to fit well.

Oh good to hear that they went to a single cord now. Yes I feel two 48” fixtures will for over my tank perfectly. It’s a 96.5” tank. Yes when I called to get the new clips I had heard that they would send me new bulbs as well. The guy from Aquatic Life told me they initially were sending new bulbs but they had to stop because basically every person who called had the exact same issue of broken bulbs. Plus they felt that u wouldn’t have learned of the clips sticking until u were ready to change out old bulbs. So they felt the old bulbs were garbage hence they shouldn’t be expected to replace them

I know about the clips. I peel the clip apart before I twist the bulb. They could have use some kind of heat resistant plastic clips.

When u try to peel them I found the bulbs break. They should have gone with all steel clips right out of the gate.
