So I went from a 57 RR rimless to a regular 120 not RR. I thought I might regret it but nope. I wanted the extra room that the overflow would have take up. So these are my pics. The reef link is great and love the ability to control all my ecotech products! So enjoy and any comments are appreciated. Thanks u guys. I don't understand why my posts never get any more than 2 or 3 comments. I see way more worst tanks and they always get some kind of reaction. I'm so done w this forum. It's like a frat house environment.

You posted last night on a Saturday of a holiday weekend and one of the highest shopping days. There hasn't been a lot of posts on MR since Wednesday.

Either way, nice tank and love how open it looks especially without an annoying big dual overflows. But are you runnin. It with no sump? I only see small tubes coming from the back.

How long ago was the upgrade? Nice size corals in there.

Looking at the picture I would suggest that you make a screen cover before some of your fish jump out. Do a search on the board, look under Kathyc, and you'll see how to make one. Since you don't have a sump, or do you?, can't really tell, it would be best to get a hang on skimmer or add a hang on Refuge, as you have 3 tangs, which will get large in time, and product lot of waste. Either of those things will help with keeping nitrates down.

Hey and thanks. I have a refuge and a sump. Everything is pretty good. Just upset my red planet didn't make it.

Good thing red planet is pretty common and cheaper nowadays. Can restart your colony!

How is your sump setup? With the tubing shown hanging on the back. Is it enough turnover for the size of the sump+return? Good thing is low flow is good for longer reaction time for the skimmer and fuge if you have one.

Yeah there is low flow in the sump. Skimmer does a pretty good job. A lot of brown stuff in the collection cup. So the way it is setup is as follows. The return water in the left chamber w the skimmer then the middle chamber is the refudge. Next chamber has the phosphate reactor then the return pump.

yup its an eshopps overflow box with 2 bulkheads on the bottom that go straight down to the sump via the "vacuum tubes". Nothing fancy. Didn't want to do PVC

I really like the aquascaping too..sure to be a stunning tank when it grows in :)

..and I do agree with Michael..a cover would be prudent.

Thanks Kathy. Wishing my SPS corals will make a recovery. So far I lost a bit of the colony and some color, but the brown pieces as of today are coloring up. Hopefully they can get back to their good color via husbandry.

Well things started to settle down and now the corals are starting to color back up again. Only thing is I had to put the yellow tang in the refuge for a while. Started to pick on the Achilles.
