Nylon Screws - where to find

I broke some of the nylon screws on my SWC-160 skimmer. I tried looking at local hardware stores with no luck. Anyone know where I might find some or have any?

those screws are a PITA.. i almost snapped mine inside my SWC-160 skimmer and couldnt get it out. Dnt tighten them too tight anymore..send me a pm I might be able to help you out.

ebay ur best bet, dont think HD or Lowes carries them in stock

Yeh I just have to figure out what size. I emailed the company asking if I could purchase but I guess they don't carry them which makes no sense.

Usually they are 1/4-20 by 1 or 1 1/2" long.

I believe they are metric. The company is in Canada. Maybe PoladSpring can help me figure out what I need.

I have seen them at Lowes, bunch of different sizes. Not sure if it is metric or standard.

I heard Lowes also but couldn't find them even where I read to look. Maybe I will try a different one.

I have seen them at Home Depot they keep them in the little drawers by the screw area

Yup thats what I heard and where I looked but this was in NJ so who knows its a backwards state.

This gets even weirder - SWC says they don't sell the screws and now they responded they don't know what size they are!?!

Are they just selling someone elses skimmer with their name on it? How do they not stock spare parts let alone know what size???

In France you could get these in every hardware store. You should check if some EU companies can ship here... it is super cheap over there...

I have bought them at the hardware store on my route in farmingdale, not sure where you are located as I can't figure out new reefs app but it's at 900 Conklin street

I broke I think two that hold the two plates together and two that hold the pump to the plate. (I dropped the skimmer! doh)

There is a hardware store in queens on bell Blvd can't remember the name but they have a lot of nylon screws
