Dose anyone rent chillers for the summer, I was justthinking, I can?t afford a chiller now, but I can rent one for the hotmonths to come.

I highly doubt anyone would rent a chiller. Maybe sell some corals or leftover equipment to get the money?

Did you try fans or using a room AC unit in the meantime?

I guess you can set it on a timer to run in the afternoon. You have a heater in the tank and it won't get too cold anyway.

I won't try this unless I have a dorm fridge sitting around.

You can hook up the pump and the mini fridge onto a rkl. My chiller doesn't have a controller. It's on my rkl and turns on when my tank hits 81.

I think fans will work pretty well and cost a hell of a lot less.

Summer my tank is normally 80-83.

If you want to be controlled ( I was thinking about the fridge too ). Get a controller and set it up so a pump to the fridge turns on when it get over 81 and turn off at 78 or what ever

But yea I keep a mini fridge next to my tank to keep a my frozen food because my wife thinks its gross that I keep the worms and skimp next to the ice cream
