Hey guys we just had a black out for 11 hours and I can say is I sadly lost some live stock my Lamark Angel and 4 electric crocea clams died along with some sps colonies green slimer, purple monster, tri color and some more other stuff so far from what I can see the only fish that died was the lamark angel!
I'm kinda bummed out about my loss that I might consider breaking down my 120g tank. The colonies of sps I grew from little frags and the 4 clams I had when they we're just 2" . We'll i'll see in the morning if there's any more damages:Thinking::irked::supermad:

Hey Richie how's you're tank after the black out

I am so sorry to hear that. I feel for you but DON'T BAIL OUT. Stay. I get you something free after you restablize the tank.

Only 11 hours of power outage could do so much harm!!!? What a dangerous hobby. We need to devise more safer environment in the future.

What's the major cause, no water movement, and/or too hot, and/or no oxygen? We need to learn something good out of bad situtations.

sorry to hear! :(

so battery powered air pumps would actually do something?? I can't afford another back up system at this point, but I could pay for a couple of those...

Thoughts?

For those of us that have tunzes, all we need to have is just one on the ups. At such a low wattage, we can get by most power outages. I have some battery powered air pumps just in case, the last blackout killed me. So we must always be prepared for these emergencies. Unfortunately, we take things for granted and it's not until something like this happens that we realize it.

Good luck, do some water changes, throw some polyfilters in, some carbon, and wait for the dust to settle. It will bounce back.
