I'm also running quite a few Magdrives. Are the Eheims hi/low maintenance? I don't have to do anything really to my Mags but clean them every 8 months or so.

Thanks. Good thread Shaun.

Russ, I am beginning to think that the disadvantages are much greater than the rewards (as you stated above).

I have a small Quiteone recirculating my home made Ca reactor for the last two years, never had a problem with them. I clean it about once every 6-9 months during my reactor refill.

Russ, you don't need any tools to clean a Eheim or Quiteone, therefor no hardware to lose or rust:eek1:

I would recommend Eheim over Quiteone just for the long term (10+ years) reliability history.

Thanks Pierce.
Shaun, I also think the ad's of an Eheim could be beneficial.

I know the stated flow and the max head height as listed above. Does anyone have an Eheim flow chart, showing the reduced flow with increased head?

Right now I have 4 Mags in my sump (3 of them are 9.5's!!!!!) I've got to get at least a couple of them out of there.

I have approx. 8' of head. I'd like to get in the 500 gph range @ 8'. Any recommendations on which Eheim?

Mike, Thanks for the snapshot.

Dean, perfect dude, thanks.

It doesn't appear that Eheim makes a pressure rated pump.

Dean, the link you provided is great, but the info is flawed. Check out the info and 'more info' stats on the Eheim 1250 and the 1060.
