I tried painting the back of my tank with this paint:

Is this the correct paint?

After putting on the first coat yesterday it seemed to go alright but when I tried applying a second coating today, the paint got bubbly and came off.

What do I do wrong?

Spray paint is not an option, since this reef tank is up and running. I intend to roll it on.

Thanks for your help.

I used flat black and a roller as using spray paint at this time of year - indoors - is a poor idea.

Does the tank already have water in it? If so, you need to use a roller, and do clean the glass extremely well before painting or it won't stick.

Something called liqutex glossies works great. It's at art stores
1oz does about 2sq ft.

It acrylic based enamel. You can paint it on. won't show steaks.
If you hate it. You can razor it off.

I used a cheap paintbrush. To paint it all willy nilly. Worked great!

No smell, fast drying.

Thanx
