This is the broken bulk head.
I was thinking of jamming a pvc pipe and using cement and then capping the PVC. Maybe a pvc elbow piece.
What do you think?

Sump installed

Here is the setup.
I couldn't find a inside coupler and wanted to finish the project this weekend.
So i ended up removing the broken bulkhead with the help of a friend with sturdier hands than mine.
Then we glued on a new bulkhead with cement and then i went crazy with silicone glue. Let it set tested and had a small drip leak.
Cemented it a second time and siliconed it again.
This time giving it a proper 24 hour dry period.
Filled it and it looks good now.
Starting to cycle my tank tonight :grouphug:
Thanks guys.

Yes it had a gasket.
The opening was drilled by the previous owner of the sump.
It was modified in a way that installing a bulkhead was hitting the bottom of the sump. Hopefully it holds till i make my own custom sump.

The sump is curing. Tomorrow is the leak test. Fingers crossed.
Thanks rkaragozler (richie). You are the best.
This sump was going in the trash and now it has new life.
Thanks a million.
Your tank is beautiful. Can't wait to see it again.

I owe you a case of beer.
Im 15 minutes away. Maybe I can bring it over next weekend as a token of my appreciation. Part of thanksgiving weekend.

And the questions continue

One last question on this thread. Or at least i think lmao
I have these that i need to find unions for.

Outside union diameter is 1-3/4".
Inside union diameter is 1-7/16" ( where the thread is)
On the edge of the union it reads 1/2".

This is the reactor tubes for my lifereef sump.
I have two of them. If anyone has another one for sell. LMK
Where can i find this union?
