Can you guys help with some fish/invert ideas for my build?

Tank is a 36x18x12 shallow rimless tank. I will be making some sort of mesh top for it this weekend.

Around 33 gallon display.. 50 total gallons.


plenty of rock and hiding spots 3+ inch sand-bed all around


I want to do all small nano fish and odd-ball inverts.



Haven't started researching but i think some recommendations would help me out a lot. I really love personality that blennys offer but not sure what species i want to go with.


i want to do stuff that wont outgrow the tank.

im very patient with this build and trying to build a diverse group of livestock

For fish, most any goby:

Masked gobies
Eviota gobies
Trimma gobies
Neon gobies
Green banded gobies

Anemone shrimp are cool, but small. Pom-Pom crabs, goby/pistol shrimp combo, i've got a tuxedo urchin I like (eats coralline), porcelain crab...i'll have to think about anything else.

I would say a BSJ is a known jumper. Especially in a shallow tank.
