I know many fish are hermaphroditic (can't believe I spelled that correctly the 1st try), and that wrasses can change from female to Male if the supermale dies....but, if a female changes to a male, can a male change into a female?
I recently bought a male and female lubbock...and after a few days ion the tank, the female has started chasing the male whenever he travels into her sight.
I have been told the female is changing into the dominant male....but this will leave me with 2 males (which I know is going to be a problem). I have been told (by the store that sold them to me) that the then smaller male will change back into a female...but I do not believe this.
What will happen when the female changes into a male, and I have two males in my 34 gallon tank? Is it possible that one male will be initial phase and the other a supermale? Or will they just fight until only one is left, a-la mad max beyond thunderdome style (its a movie to you youngens out there)?
Thanks
Phil
