Fire Fish w/ bristles

I have a Fire Fish that appears to have the bristles from a bristle worm stuck to one side (5 or so). Is there anything that I need to do? Or will the fish "push" them out on its own (assuming its healthy)?
I could not get a picture b/c of the size of the "bristle" in question.

it should eventually grow out if the fish is healthy enough.. keep an eye on it..
