hey guys..so i was thinking..i have a red sea purple tang in my 72 bow. hes the biggest fish in here now, about 3". is it safe to keep him here? or should i sell him to someone with a big tank? i need advice from tang keepers. thanks. ive had him over 2-3 years.
3" sounds kind a smaller for a Tang that you've had for 2 - 3 years, should be a lot of bigger at this point.
Depending on the amount of space in the tank, LR & Corals, and other fish in the tank take up, that size tank should be ok. The more room the better though.
marrone..haha..hes probably bigger..i cant tell..i just estimated..any of the guys whove seen him can chime in. coz everyone knows i care about my livestock, so i want to make sure its ok to keep him. if not, id rather sell him to someone with a large tank over 100g. widebody..i might sell him if you're interested.
sorry marrone...if i decide to sell..i will post in the FS thread..i was also thinking because he eats the most out of all my fish..hes forever eating..and steals the food from my corals!! and i know that whole tang police stuff would never want a tang in anything smaller than a 125g.
