Hey folks,

I changed my flow last week in an attempt to get a bit more in the tank and also reach all the areas that weren't previously getting any flow. I put a flow disperser spinny thing on the MJ600 return pump and added a Koralia nano.

However, my YWG now seems displaced... he's floating around the tank very often - swimming with the clowns, instead of hiding in the rocks. At first I thought it was just a transitory stage, but now I am not so sure. Should I try to build him a burrow out of pvc pipe, or is it perfectly normal for YWG to swim around the tank periodically?

As always, thanks for the advice :)

hows ur feeding? maybe he's just hungry.
He doesn't seem hungry. Last night I watched him stare at a pellet sitting on the sand in front of him for a few minutes... I honestly never figured out how to feed him - he doesn't come up for pellets or mysis (the clowns end up eating it all) and he very rarely bothers with food that drifts near him. He seems fine with some occasional pellets and sand sifting.

This change was definitely because of the flow... I guess I'll stop by home depot and pick up some thin PVC pipe soon. If he doesn't like it, I can just take it back out again.

Quick update:
Even with a new burrow, the goby is still hanging around topside these days, mostly towards the end of the day. I guess that's just how it's gonna be from now on, and he doesn't seem too distressed.
