Mandarins baby!

Thanks to Prattreef, I was able to win myself a spotted mandarin! He is doing great in my tank! He's already declared his area and swims in and out of my rockwork! Hopefully I can get him to start eating mysis and other foods although he has gotten plumper since yesterday:splitspin

My green mandarin switched over to mysis!! I was watching him swim around and looking at mysis on the sandbed. And this was exactly what his actions said, "Well, it looks like food, so I guess I'll eat it." And I saw him eat three pieces of mysis shrimp!

Here are some pics, sorry but the coralline algae got in the way! When I tried to clean it with my mag float, it scared the mandarin. It's cool cause they are like buddies now. The green mandarin goes around the tank, comes to the spotted, stops for a second, chills, and swims around again.

Sorry for the terrible pics! Bad camera + blue lighting + coralline algae + dirty glass = bad pics!

Yes congrats on winning the mandarin. The fact that you have one already eating frozen food is good as the new one is more likely to learn from watching. Good luck and keep us posted.

Will do! I want this little guy to be fat as the other one! I love the way they swim!!! they swim like no other fish!
