I have been having some trouble finding some fish for my 3 gallon. Yesterday I got a neon goby and a green clown goby, and last night they both jumped to their fates... I really want to get a fish that won't kill the biology of my tank and that won't jump from the tank after less than a day. The tank is really crowded with about 6 lbs of rock, 2 sexy shrimp, feather duster, xenia, ricordea, zoas, and GSP. Anyone have any ideas on a cheap small fish? I was thinking a damsel, but it would REALLY be pressed for room and I was nervous it would pick at the sexy shrimp??
Thanks

I agree that its too small for a clownfish, but I was actually just offered a baby misbar for free. Im afraid though that this clown will jump just like the other two. Any ideas to prevent jumping? Im thinking about just putting a sheet of saran wrap over the tank when I go to bed, since that is probably when they are most inclined to jump...

Also I dont like the idea of a goby, a catalina needs cooler water, and the clown goby jumped within 20 hours along with the neon goby. I really want something that wont jump.

maybe a little highfin banded goby and a candy pistol? I dont think Ive ever heard of them jumping, and I would bet that with the added security of the pistol they'd be more likely to dart into the rocks than out of the water.

Did they leave a note? Maybe dosing some prozac would prevent the jumping? 3gal is way too small for any clown, most are listed as needing 20gal+. Yes, they will fit, but as I tell my customers, "You would fit in my trunk, but you wouldn't want me to make you live there". Greissingeri gobies are actually pretty cool and should be fine in a 3gal, they can be pretty expensive. Probably the most expensive fish I have ever seen, by weight.
