clown needs help

hi

I just got a clown fish from a mail order company. Unfortunely when it arrive it was flat on the side. I quickly put it in a big net over a QT cycle tank (no med). If I move the net it moves, it just kind of laying flat on the net with the fins moving a little. Is been like this for 4 hours.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? or it is a goner. I feel bad for this fish. Cause Fedex really miss a one day and turn it to a 2 days.

If possible - can you add extra oxygen to the water he is in through use of an airpump & and air stone?

If you don't have those available you can take some water out of that tank in a (clean) pitcher and raise it over the tank and pour it back in..do this repeatedly..as many times as you can stand to keep doing it.. to try and get more oxygen into the water for him.

I did follow your advice with a pump I had at home after reading your post. It did pass away when I woke up.

sorry about your fish - hope you can get a refund or a replacement.

since fedex missed the overnight target date - you should be reimbursed
