Trigger with these fish?

Is it possible to put a small huma huma trigger with a flame angel and a pair of percula clowns? I really love Triggers so if this combo dont work i might be parting with those fish.

i would say no...the trigger will eat the clownfish

yea ive heard that. i mean i know someone who had a huma huma with clowns and he doesnt have a problem but that could just be a rare situation.

Huma Huma's can get very aggressive. I feel like you can put them with the fish, but it will probably grow out very shortly.

ok so hows about a yellow tang or hippo tang and huma huma would that work?

I have a Humu a Niger, 3 fire fish and a clown, they were all added at different times and they all get along great.

your not really suppose to, but if you really want one, buy a tiny one, and get it ready for a new home when the size exceeds the percula.

you might be better off with the tangs, but still get a tiny trigger.

As long as the fish are small in size it is a better situation because that would mean they are young..young fish are not so aggressive. Huma's are 1 of my favorites and not nearly as agressive as alot of other Triggers like a clown for example so you should be fine. Yellow tang would be fine with a Huma or Niger as well.

Don't believe the hype..alot of what people say is folklore or a rule of thumb just like if you put a fish like an oscar in a 10 gallon tank it won't get 10 inches and anyone who has any experience with fish knows that is pure CRAP. This is a case by case situation and it really depends on the independant fish not a specific breed.

I have a 5" huma with a 4" red sea clown. Clown is the boss of the tank (which includes a 1' Pomacanthus angel. Huma is for sale because of taste for escargo.

+1 on don't believe the hype, one thing he missed out, also depends on the person taking care of the fish.

Well I suppose you could say that because the care of the tank i.e. water parameters and temperature would play a role because warmer temperatures do bring out aggression as well.

yea well everyone wants to have cool stuff but they don't want to take the time to learn the proper way to take care of it. That's just the world we live in..that's why there is maintenance companies.

love triggers can't have one too many small fish! sucks that they don't listen when you tell them not to do something

in few months when trigger get larger maybe will be more agressive to clowns... but it all depends on tank size ... so what is these fishes tank size ?
