Fish gone

Hi guys I had a malerius wrasse sorry fort spelling, for about 1 yr today I walked in my home and can't find him on the tank over flow sump no where is it possible for a nassirus snail to eat him while he is sleeping? Like of the wrasse is sleeping in the sand bed and a snail is going through the sand and he falls right on it can he kill the wrasse ??

They'll eat it if it died.Did it jump?

No I've looked all over my living room

Do you know where the wrasse usually sleep?Search the sand if it does'nt emerge in a few days.It is not unusual for them to hide out for a few days maybe it's not feeling well.

you have to look realy good for jumpers sometimes its years before i find the remains and its only because i was cleaning out my room or doing a tank transfer and had to move everything. Took my dad a few hours to find a 16 inch batfish once, they always end up in the strangest places. Wrasses do tend to bury themselves for 1 to mayby 3 days at a time more than that start worrying. he might come out when you feed and its highly unlikely that a nasarius ate a live fish unless its not realy a nasarius

If you decide to get another wrasse be sure to get a tank cover.As Master Shake said Batfish are jumpers as well as others. Dartfish,Firefish,Triggers,Goatfish to name a few.Three weeks ago i found my wrasse on the kitchen floor.It was lucky i found it in time to save it.
