Just had a black and white percula clown die today. i would like to get another one but i have a regular percula clown in the tank now and am afraid that if i add a new one they may fight. The two clowns got along great but i added them to the tank at the same time.

My question is should i try to add another one, two? my orange percula seems kind of peaceful. any thoughts? and also is anyone selling these fish?

Perculas tend to be very docile fish. The more established may nip at the new one for a couple of days, but it will eventually subside.
I added a B/W perc into my tank which already had an established saddleback clown and a ocellaris in there. The saddleback went after it for a day, and the ocellaris for a few hours... now they get along all nice and happy.... just a bit of bullying in the tank, but nothing major.

I added another clown but he was much much smaller than the first one....plus I added plastic grate to separate the tank in two and put one on each side so they can look but not touch

Perculas will change sex at any age. If one percula is alone it will be male but if another joins it then the originaly established one will assume the female roll. If there is one female and many males and the female dies then the alpha male will turn female. Source... Cllownfishes In Ahe Aquarium by Gregory B. Skomal. Its a very informative book i highly recommend it.
