Hello Everybody,

I bought these from SWC and they were labeled Pink Square Anthias... apparently that's not what it is. Can anybody help me identify these guys?

Can these possibly be a variant of the "stocky anthias"

These guys have been doing well in my tank but I want to know what else I can get for compatibility lol. I've been scouring the internet for information but nothing comes up except other owner's who are just as lost as I am.

I intend on buying Bartletts Anthias. I know I will definitely get some flack given that it will be housed in a 54 Gallon Corner. But I believe I will have the right living conditions.

I intend on creating a water column-vortex "kind of thing" in my tank but putting two Koralia 2's parallel to eachother in an alternating pattern so the fish can swim in the water column, In doing so I should be able to decrease the Anthias' aggression and create more oxygen exchange in the tank. I also have plenty of rock crevices and dimly lit areas for the shy ones. LMK your thoughts expert Anthias keepers.

I always did the best with anthias when i fed at least 2x daily with mysis shrimp (PE mysis is the best brand!), pellets (Spectrum or Fauna marin), and a high quality flake food. Since they come in starving, they need extra food the first month, then keeping up with their high metabolism is challenging.

I had a square anthias trio for close to three years until that big east coast black out killed them...

Feeding is no problem with me. All my fish definitely get their fill. If not eating just the organisms in the tank. I will soon be getting tigger pods to throw in my refugium.

I feed at least 2 times a day. I enjoy watching them go crazy. I rotate foods so that they don't get bored. All food is dipped in Garlic Gaurd.

Rotate between:

Frozen Mysis, Dried Krill, Cyclopeeze, Spectrum Pellets, Spectrum Thera-A, Nutra Fin pellets, Marine Formula Frozen Cubes, Arcti Pods, and Frozen Silversides.
