Well its almost time to start planning the stocking order for the new tank.

Right now for tangs i have a
Vlamingi Tang. 8-10" long
red sea purple tang 3-4" long.

Tangs that i would like to add in
Achilles tang.
Chevron Tang

Would these 4 fish get along well with each other?

The tank is a 300 gallon.

Thanks.

Both of those tangs are great tangs although I feel Chevron's lose some of their beauty as they get older. Achilles can be tricky but I've had one for 2 years and he's great. I don't forsee you having a problem in a tank that size with those 4 tangs.

Just keep the lights off for a day or two to let them settle. I think the purple would be the most aggressive.

Thanks for the input.

I know that's the main thing about the chevron tangs. but can enjoy them for a while.

I should have enough flow in the tank for them. And plenty of swimming room.

My purple tang is not really aggressive but was in a tank with bigger fish then he was.

What other tang besides the chevron would people say the like?

The blonde Naso has always been my favorite.
Had one for 11 years then donated to public aquarium. I had a 125 and got him about the size of a dime.

BTW All my tangs looked great after 11 years and ate mostly roasted seaweed from the Oriental store.

:iamwithst, one of my favorite tangs.

I'm also a fan or orange shoulder tangs and unicorn tangs (very similar to the vlamingi.) And if it is in your budget a black tang or black scopas tang.
