Probably not the best idea in the world as 6 lines are pretty nasty fish and so are pseudo's.

It is a 90 ..and in my previous 75 a few years ago come to think of it I had both at once they were both aggressive towards each other for a few days then it ended and there was the occassional chase but that was it ....:scratchchI just hate to have one kill the other ....

the problem isnt just that they are both aggressive fish, but that they both occupy a similar space in the tank, around and in the rockwork, so they will probably encounter/compete with each other more often. imho it might work in a 90 but why chance it?

The Orchard Dottyback will most likely either kill or cause the 6-Line to jump out of the tank. Dottybacks are pretty aggressive, even though the Orchard isn't as aggressive at some of the other ones, they're also very active and will most likely chase the 6-line around the tank.

A 90gal tank, though a good size reef tank, isn't that large of a tank for a fish like a Dottyback, which will cover the whole tank pretty easy.

In the end it's probably better to get rid of the 6-line and go with the Orchard Dottyback, as they usually causes less problems with other fish then the 6-line does.

i have both in a 72 bowfront and they are fine. the sixline had been in for about 6 months when i put the fridmani in. The sixline chased him for a day and slowly started to loose interest. He would only give him a little chase when he got close by. Now a few months later they swim by each other without any fighting or chasing.
