anyone know what this is ? I haven't added anything new except a naked clown 3 weeks ago that came from someones tank with no issues and none of the other fish have anything wrong with them. maybe its getting picked on when I'm not looking tank mates are six line wrasse, yellow corries wrasse, pseudochromie, powder blue tang, percula clown, naked clown, cardinal, bicolor blenny, luthers gobie diamond gobie, mandarine.
Oh forgot I did add hermit crabs last Friday and none of the fish have ever been seen picking on this wrasse (well the six line did chase him for a second a few times)

Might your 6 line be happy living in your sump?
I'll never understand why everyone seems to like those so much when they cause so many issues in tanks.

Possibly also...have you noticed if your pseudochromis might be the also be pestering him? Poor fishy :(

hmmm ... thats weird ... i had a six-line before and they are peaceful ... actually, very peaceful. However, although they are peaceful, they may act aggressively towards other smaller timid fish (especially other wrasses), or if there are not enough hiding space (ie. min. rock scrape), or if there are inadequate food supply. Do you have any of these potential issues?

FYI: I can be a proud owner if you dont want him/her!!!

danny I did go away for 3 days and didnt feed the fish and there is plenty of room I have a 125 reef with 200 lbs of rock I never had a problem either till now I've had this fish for 2-3 years
what is a good food to use for trapping these little b*st*ards I used mysis that got its attention but its hard to keep it in the trap unless pumps are off Now I tried silversides but it doesnt seem to like them I released a little piece in the water colum to see if he'll eat it but he didn't may he's just full from all the mysis?

deanos thats what I read after i bought that fish that they wont live more than 6 months in a tank but I had this one 2 years do you think that damage is from the fish being close to death or being picked on ? It looks like the scales are gone in that area and its all puffy.

I never had a problem with six lines but this is the first one that got big.I got it when it was smaller than an inch.
The pseudo is a real pest when it comes to feeding my corals this thing is worse than the cleaner shrimp but it never bothered any of the fish.

Now that I thought about it I am wrong its not 2 years . Kathyc was over my house a year ago and was asking about it at that time I only had it for about 4 months so it realy is no more than 16 months .
Thats still a long time compared to what they say about these fish.
When you say it's something else do you mean disease? Or getting picked on.

FYI, You can't visually tell if someone or something has AIDS.
Someone actually with AIDS might be offended by the title of this thread.

Sorry, I can't be more helpful in your thread though, but the sick doesn't look well.
